and bushy tails

look at those bright eyes! wow!

now that baby is waking up and looking around, the videos get a little more interesting. he is quite a bundle of joy now. and we're taking all our meals by mouth...that's another step towards home. he is still having some issues with his heartrate going down at times, as well as his o2 level, but he's a big boy. and they are prepping him to head home...finally.

a hungry little bug waking

notice anything? that's right...one less device on the beautiful face. no more o2... the g tube is also gone at this point, but this was a couple days ago...

baby luke has moved out of the preemie bed and into a "jalopy" as gogi calls it. he is still surrounded by bells and whistles, attached to him, but he is regulating his temp and has been for awhile now. he also had the shunt placed on 6/18. and he did a great job. they told us not to be shocked if he was intubated for a couple of days, but he was extubated the same day. what a champ!...he had a funny dressing on his head, like a whad of cotton just stuck on with super glue, with orders to stay on... one of his fave nurses said if he was a girl, she'd put a bow on it.
